Assignment:

Xinetix was challenged to productize a highly complex laboratory proof of concept model into a commercially viable system. Conceived in Stanford's sleep lab, the device was designed to provide rapid  warming of a patient recovering from post-surgical anesthesia induced hypothermia.

Results:

Xinetix  reduced the complex bench top experiment to a simple easy to use portable device to rapidly warm a patient while in the recovery room. Our team worked with clinicians and hospital purchasing personnel to develop a product strategy resulting in an economically viable commercialization strategy which informed the design process. The resulting product incorporated a reusable component and low cost disposable which produced a high margin, on-going revenue stream for the client.
