Arbor was under a tight deadline to meet investor milestones when safety issues were discovered with the initial valve test bench prototype. The magnetic excitation coils required high voltage drive currents. The valves under test required continuous wetting wetting while under test. This combination proved to present an electrical safety hazard to the operator.
Xinetix quickly redesigned and performed safety testing of the test bench as part of a rigorous V&V effort. Following design qualification the test bench design was replicated and a dedicated test room was configured and qualified in advance of promised investor milestone commitments.
